DMC Moto invites you to a ten days motorcycle journey through the south of Spain and visiting Moto GP finals in Valencia, 6th November of 2011.

DAY 1 (Friday) Manchester to Valencia
Fly from Manchester to Valencia. Check in into a hotel.

DAY 2 (Saturday)Valencia.
Receiving the bikes, get to know the town. This is a free day for you to ride by yourself in town and get a feel for Spanish traffic.

VALENCIA
Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and it is situated in the irrigated valley. It was founded in 138 BC by the Romans, then passed from hand to hand and only in the 13th century turned to belong to the Christians. Valencia is surrounded by orange groves and vast farmlands. The city stands on the banks of the River Turia. The old quarter of El Carmen is located on the right bank. Most of the ancient monuments are located close to the city council.
City Sights:
Palau de la Generalitad - 15th Century Gothic Palace, which is now the seat of government of Valencia.
Basilica de los Desamparados - statue of the Virgin Mary (Patroness of Valencia)
Valencian Cathedral of the 13th century, where you can find a San Graal.

DAY 3 (Sunday) Moto Grand Prix finals day.
Very hot, just like Spanish temperament.

DAY 4 (Monday) Valencia to Cartagena (run – 307km)
From Valencia we’ll go along the magnificent coast to Cartagena, through some beautiful towns of Valencia region. The roads will surprise you – they are just created for bikers! We will visit the following towns and sights:
Penyal-d’Ifac – one of the best known sights on the Costa Blanca, it is a national park near the Calpe town. Penyal-d’Ifac is famous for its unique lime cliffs, which rise 332 metres from the sea. If you climb the cliff you‘ll get a great view of the coast, and if the sky is clear you can see Ibiza.. Penyal-d’Ifac is connected with land by a sandy isthmus.
Alicante – a port-town – the capital of Costa Blanca and the second-largest town in Valencia province. This town was found by Greeks, and then it was conquered by Romans. After that it passed into the possession of Moors and was under their control until XIII century. Alicante is a well-known touristic center of Costa Blanca coast, its architecture is a mix of Moor, Greek, Roman and Gothic styles, Baroque and Modern. Alicante has many historical monuments, the best known are the Santa Barbara Castle and a Nicolas-de-Bari Cathedral. Castillo-de-Santa-Barbara was built in XVI century on the top of Benicantil Hill, which offers a great view of the town. Nicolas-de-Bari cathedral was built in XVII century in honor of the patron of Alicante. Inside the cathedral there is a gilded altar and there are also many “churrigera” style alters (Spanish baroque at the beginning of 18 century).
Cartagena. A modern city is situated on the place of the first settlement of Carthaginians, which was founded in 223 year BC, but after the city was conquered by Romans, and after that it becomes a big military port. On the seafront you can see a submarine designed in 1888 by Isaak Peral. The Castillo-de-la-Concepcion castle offers amazing views of the city and sea. The old town is separated by a huge wall that was built for defense in VXII century. After arriving in Cartagena – check in to hotel and a walk around the city.
Day 5 (Tuesday) Cartagena – Granada (run - 465km).
Granada was conquered by the Moors in the 8th century. The époque of its sunrise was at the times of governing of Nathrids during 1238-1492. That time Granada was the capital of Granadian emirate and the inhabitants made the reputation of being the cultural and scientific centre. After The Catholics came to power the town gained the refinement of The Rene sans and some luxury too. The labyrinth of narrow streets, meandering beside The Cathedral, Moor market, squares, architectural pearls of Alhambra castle and Jeneralife, luxurious moor villages. Arrive in Granada – check in to hotel and an excursion around the city.

DAY 6 (Wednesday) Granada – Ronda (run – 250km).
You’re going back to the seaside, heading to the fashionable resort of Marbella, where we’ll mingle with Movie Stars, Members of the Royal Family, and then onto Malaga – the mother country of Picasso. Ronda is one of the most beautiful spots in Spain. Ronda stands at the shore of sheer rock. Due to its location it had been inaccessible and was the last stronghold of the Moors. Besides the ancient monuments, the oldest arena for Corrida in Spain is situated here in Ronda. After arriving in Ronda – check in to hotel and an excursion around the city.

DAY 7 (Thursday) Ronda – Sevilla (run – 370km)
The road continues along the coast. Approaching Tarifa you will be able to wave hello to The Moroccans, we can almost touch Africa from here. The first region will be Cadiz, which is one of the oldest European towns. According to the legend, Cadiz was found by Heracles. The town belonged to The Carthaginians, The Romans, The Moors in turn and in 1812 it became the capital of Spain for some time. The Constitution was proclaimed there. Jerez-de-la-Frontera is the most populated town in Cadiz Region, it’s the land of wines and horses. Its best architectural legacies are Arabic Alcasar of XII century and San Salvador cathedral. In Jerez there are a large number of wine cellars, including Gonzales Byass and Pedro Domecq. Also there are beautiful family palaces of a local aristocracy. Seville, the city of Don Juan. For more than two thousand and a half years of its own existence Seville was under control of Iberians, Romans, Gothics, Arabs, and, finally, Spanish kings. For the short period of time it was the capital of Spain. Nowadays Seville is the capital of Andalucía. There are many sights and architectural monuments in Seville, the most-known are the Sevillian cathedral – the third-biggest Christian cathedral; and Alcasar – the palace-fortress, built by Moors in 1350 – 1369. After arriving in Sevilla – check in to hotel and a walk around the city.

DAY 8 (Friday) Seville – Jaen (run – 260km)
Arrive in Jaen, through Cordova. The main monuments of Cordova are situated westwards from the walls of mosque in old Jewish town. Not many things have changed since the X century. Also there is a museum of Corrida. In Jaen or “The Stop of Caravans”, there are Arabic baths of XX century, and there is a bamboo statue of Jesus from Ecuador. After arriving in Jaen – check in to hotel and a walk around the city.

DAY 9 (Saturday) Jaen – Valencia (run – 450km)
Arrive in Valencia, returning the bikes and flight to Manchester
